My name is Sattvi
I have been fascinated by death since an early age, but found that it’s not a subject that people wish to discuss much, and this only made me more intrigued. Why is something that has happened and will happen to every living being such a taboo subject? Why so much fear and ignorance?
It made me wonder if we are missing something, missing a greater teaching and insight, that could not only reduce or release our fears, but actually help us live, richer, fuller and more joyful lives.
A wise man once said that “fear persists, precisely! Because it is not examined”
With an open heart I was ready to hear and embody the wisdom of many different teachers who spoke openly and deeply on the subject of death and dying, that resonated and made sense to a deeper part of me.
I began to work with the elderly in palliative care where I saw firsthand the difficulty in confronting, dealing with, and accepting death.
There is an undeniable power and unshakeable presence that comes from working with and facing our mortality as human beings, and, paradoxically, the most valuable gift it brings us is, living life to its fullest, not in a state of ignorance and postponement, unaware of our limited time here in this life, but quite the opposite, to let our hearts expand to incorporate the full picture of the reality of our being, and let her use you as the vessel you are, taking in ALL that life is, despite the pain, despite the suffering and despite the hardship.
After a decade on this path of inquiry in to life, death, and my own spiritual search, that involved long periods of, meditation, silence, somatic body work and sacred-plant ceremonies, that gave rise to many spiritual deaths and re-births, rest assured, I am a hand you can hold, that will guide, comfort and walk with you on your path.
Thank you for your courage in choosing to step onto this seldom tread path with me, in creating this new earth with love and kindness.
